SAUL
A downloadable game for Windows
"SAUL" is a colorful top-down swarm survival shooter developed in GameMaker: Studio. The base concept was developed in Unity, as an entry for a short game jam here on itch.io. Since then, I've decided to revive/continue the project.
Controls are simple: use WASD to move, space to dash, click to shoot, right-click to throw a bomb.
The current prototype features:
- Five enemy types
- A dash ability for quick getaways
- A bomb powerup for AOE damage
- A rapid-fire powerup for maximum carnage
- Five levels of progressing difficulty

The prototype is a stand-alone executable: simply download and run the file to play!

Really enjoyed playing SAUL. Great combination of pacing, mechanics, and especially enjoyed the background music. Is the music royalty-free or?
